To  protect your database from unwanted backing up or restoration  , Backup Agent requires valid  user information when Backup Manager or Storage Server connect to it .   Like Windows group and user definition ,  a group in  SQL Server Backup software can have some pre-defined privileges  , and a  user can be  member of one or more groups .

• Groups

Administrators and Backup Operators are SQL Server Backup software default groups , privileges in these groups  can not be changed , and these groups can not be deleted .  To add a new user defined group  , just connect to a SQL Server Backup Agent , select "Groups and Users" tree node , and then click "New Group" button .

Name : Name for new group .
Description : A short description for new group.
Privileges : Just select some predefined privileges for new group.

• Users

Admin is default administrator of SQL Server Backup software  ,  it can not be deleted  , but you can change password . The default password is "Admin" . For safe reason , please change it after you first logon backup agent program.  To add a new user , please connect to a SQL Server Backup Agent , select "Groups and Users" tree node , and then click ˇ°New Userˇ± button .

Name : Name of new user.
Password / Confirm : Password for new user.
Description : A short description for new user.
Groups : User can be  member of one or more groups.
