Manage Storage Server

Storage Server read/write backup data from/to backup device , You have to add its information to SQL Server Backup Manager , so that the  you can do further configuration .

To add information of a Storage Server  ,

1 . Click the "Configure"->"Backup Devices" button in left hand side tool bar.

2 . Click the "Add Storage Server" button in Storage Server Manager child window.

Alias : Name of Storage Server  , this name will be used in job configuration .
Address : A computer name or IP address for the computer which the Storage Server is running on.
Port : The Storage Server listening port . The default port for backup agent is 6001 , If your  firewall settings dose not allow program listen on port 6001 , please change it .
Account/ Password : For a new installed Storage Server, the default user name is "Admin" , and the password is "Admin" . Please change the default account after you first logon the program.

After you have added a Storage Server  , you just click the new added node in the tree to connect to new Storage Server . to do further configuration.
