When and How to use a remote storage server?   Back

If you want to backup your database and send the backed up data to another machine , we recommend you use the remote storage server instead of saving data to a network shared folder .
For example :
Your ms sql database server is running on machine A , and you want your backuped data save on machine B .
1.Install our SQL Backup software on machine A(SQL Server Backup need to be installed on the same machine as ms SQL Server).
2.Install our Remote Storage Server program on machine B
3.Add a account on Remote Storage Server User Manager,Specify who can connect and run the Remote Storage Server program.(machine B)

4.Make a backup job in SQL Server Backup (machine A) ,Select the remote storage server as the backup target directory ,the user name and password of machine A must be same as the machine B's.

You can also open the manual file (help.chm) and find the "Using SQL Server Backup - Backup " section , under this section , the "Normal Setting" and "Account Setting" topic talk about the use of remote storage server .
