How to restore a database with a new name? Back
If you want to restore a database with a new name , Please follow the following steps when making a restore job:
1 . select the "Restore database with a new name" option and enter the new name .
2 . select the "Restore files to new location" option , this step is very important , even if you don't want to really move the data file and log file to a new location , this option should be selected ,or database will not be restored. If you want to restore database to another place , you can change the destination directory and file name by clicking the "Edit Location" button.
